The Power of Three Enterprise (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it and the rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
1. Who we are
The responsible party for personal information collected on this website is The Power of Three Enterprise, represented by Janine Opperman, who also acts as our Information Officer. You can contact us at janine@tpote.com.
2. What information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Enquiry form: your full name, email address, phone number, how you found us, language preference, where you are based, what you are enquiring about and anything you tell us about your situation.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
- Email or WhatsApp: the details you share when you contact us directly.
Our website also uses essential cookies and standard server logs (such as your IP address and browser type) so that the website works securely. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange sessions, talks or workshops.
- To send you our newsletter, if you have subscribed.
- To keep records of our engagements and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
We process your information with your consent, to take steps you have asked for before entering into an agreement with us, or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted service providers who help us run this website and our business, such as our website host, email provider and newsletter platform. They may only use it to provide their service to us and must keep it secure and confidential. Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa; where this happens we make sure the protection is substantially similar to POPIA. We will only disclose information to others where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe.
6. How we protect it
This website uses an encrypted (SSL) connection, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorised access of your personal information.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
- object to the processing of your information, including for direct marketing;
- unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in every email;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To exercise any of these rights, email janine@tpote.com. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can contact the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated.
